Our JWAY Methodology

Overview

The J-Way has been established from experience and refined to ensure End-User ownership transition. It must be noted that it does not incorporate Change Management and that this service can be offered by specialist Change Management Consultants available from Jera Consulting (Pty) Limited.

Phase 1: Project Initialisation

  • Compiling of preliminary project plan (work breakdown structure).
  • Compiling of project profile document
  • Establishment of project team/s
  • Define roles and responsibilities
  • Compile a Project Charter, identifying key deliverables.

Phase 2: Business Discovery

  • Determine business organisation structure
  • Modular workshops to determine (and re-engineer) business processes, requirements and key performance indicators
  • Compile a functional specification document resulting from the workshops
  • Match business processes to functional specification
  • Compile a System Configuration Document

Phase 3: Configuration of Pilot System

  • Modular implementation of pilot system
  • Define Test scenarios and test data
  • Train the Trainers.
  • Quality check of pilot system configuration
  • Design and compile business process documentation based on pilot system (if required)
  • Document deviations and amend System Configuration Document (if required)
  • Compile training manuals
  • Training of end-users on the pilot system
  • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT)

Phase 4: Final Preparation and Go Live

  • Setup shell company configure all parameters to UAT
  • Populate database with take-on data, master file and transactions
  • Cut over system and manage process
  • Provide go-live support
  • Validate live business process results
  • Implementation Sign-off

Phase 5: On-Going Support

  • Define service level agreement
  • On-going functional assessment of end-user’s capabilities
  • Provide on-going training and support for users as business processes change
  • Provide refresher training and training of new staff on a regular basis
  • Update business process documents with changes in the system
